Take Action: Tell Congress Now is the Time to Protect Dreamers
Congress must act now and pass legislation, like the bipartisan Dream Act, to protect Dreamers from deportation. There are 3
related Bills from Republicans and Democrats in Congress which you can support writing your legislatures:
-H.R.3440: Dream Act
Sponsor: Rep. Roybal-Allard, Lucille [D-CA-40]
Introduced in House (7/26/2017)
-H.R.3591: American Hope Act
Sponsor: Rep. Gutierrez, Luis V. [D-IL-4]
Introduced in House (7/28/2017)
-S.1615: Dream Act
(bipartisan, supported by Sen. Durbin, [D-IL])
Sponsor: Sen. Graham, Lindsey [R-SC]
Introduced in Senate (7/20/2017)
The President’s decision to end DACA has endangered the lives of nearly 800,000 Dreamers, who were brought to this country as children. These young people are integral to our country, communities, and economy. An overwhelming majority of the American public agree that granting legal status to Dreamers is the right thing to do.
